Celebrations

This weeks theme at Fab'n'Funky is Celebrations. I know I should have made a graduation card for my son who is graduating from grade 8 this year! Sigh! How the time flies by, but I still haven't found the right image for the that, so I opted for another Birthday card. This weeks wonderful sponsor is Joanna Sheen! Be sure to drop to check out the blog and take part in the challenge!

Here is my card:

New Beginnings and catch up!

This week at Fab'n'Funky The theme was New Beginnings! And appropriate for me, This week I started a full time contract ( a great boost from the part time one I had!). That is why this post is late, I have been so busy trying to get things right at work, that by the time I get home at night I am done and ready for bed! LOL I have been going to bed at the same time as my little darling all week!

But now I digress, back to this weeks theme! You can use an image that depicts a new beginning (baby, wedding, new house...) Or use something new on your project (scrapping papers, dies, ribbons...)

The theme also ties in with the change ups going on at Fab'n'Funky, We are currently under new management, but don't worry, Everything is still going smoothly and it's business as usual!

So now to my card,

I used some new papers that I got from Scrapbook Star, seeing that I did not have anyone to give a baby card to. I also used this super cute Precious Moments image, that I downloaded from the internet. (colouring pages)

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, the weather is beautiful here and I plan to take advantage of it while it lasts!

Fabric.....Hmmmm I needed to put on my thinking cap!

My first thought about using fabric on my project over at Fab'n'Funky was "What the Hell am I going to do?!?!?!?!"
I don't normally use fabric on my creations, nor did I have any fabric "paper". So then I thought about a flower tutorial that I saw a while back on Let's Scrap and thought I could do that for this weeks challenge!

So here it is. My card for this weeks challenge at Fab'n'Faunky , I made the little flower with the button.

I am entering this into the challenge for Sketch Saturday this week as well. We were asked to use this wonderful sketch

First communion Cake

Today is just a quick little stop in to show you the cake I made for a friend at work. Her little guy was celebrating his first communion last weekend and they asked for me to make this cake. I have to say thought that the idea was not a Shirley Original(I based it off of a picture that she chose from on the internet). But I love how it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you come back soon, I hope to have some more scrapping stuff next time!

I've been Busy, busy, busy!!!!!

Well it has started this week over at Let's Scrap this week! Our annual International National Scrapbook Month (INSM), month long celebration!!! Be sure to come over and check out all of our challenges and sketches. There is plenty to do and plenty of prizes to be won as well!!!!

If that has not been keeping me busy enough as of late,  I have had several people in the last couple of weeks asking for cakes. So last week I made one with the Tangled theme. (I had some technical difficulties with this one, and a short time frame, so no photos. Sorry!)

And then on the weekend I delivered this cake to a very happy little boy. He wanted cars on the cake, so I made him a little race track on a mountain! Jeff  helped with this one. I love how it turned out!!!

And this week I have also received an order to make a cake for a first Communion. I will be sure to post some photos of that one once I get it done.

Next week I will have two more cakes to make, and now the kids are asking for me to make one for us to eat here at home! LOL! I guess I owe them that much! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you come back soon!

Celebrating "male-ness"

This week over at Fab'n'Funky We were asked to celebrate "male-ness". Yes that's right, we were asked to make a card for the men in our lives. As I don't have many images of boys and men, I chose to go more the sexy route and created this card for the challenge!

Please be sure to visit us this week and show us what you come up with!
